Who grades our diamonds

The International Gemological Institute (IGI) is an independent laboratory and the world's most trusted authority on lab-grown diamonds. It grades each stone and records the result in a report with a unique number, laser-inscribed on the stone itself.

What your report records

  • Cut - how well the diamond returns light. It decides the sparkle.
  • Colour - graded from D (colourless) downwards.
  • Clarity - how free the stone is of tiny natural inclusions.
  • Carat - the stone's weight. One carat is 0.2 grams.
  • Its shape, measurements, polish and symmetry - and that it is laboratory-grown.

How to verify your diamond

  1. Find the report number on your IGI certificate.
  2. Visit igi.org and enter it under "Verify your report".
  3. The online record shows the same grades as your printed report.

Lab-grown, explained

A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond: the same carbon, the same crystal, the same hardness and fire as one mined from the earth. Only its origin differs - it is grown in weeks rather than formed over millions of years, with a far smaller footprint.

Our silver

Every setting is cast in 925 sterling silver - 92.5% pure silver - and finished with rhodium for the brightness and durability of platinum.
