Four simple qualities decide how a diamond looks, sparkles, and lasts. Here is what each one means, in plain language.

How it sparkles
Cut
Cut is not the shape. It is how well the diamond is shaped and polished. A great cut returns light to your eye as fire and brilliance.

How white it looks
Colour
Diamonds are graded D (completely colourless) to Z (light yellow). The closer to D, the rarer and whiter the stone.

How clean it is inside
Clarity
Tiny natural marks inside a diamond. Graded FL (flawless) down to I3 (visible flaws).

How much it weighs
Carat
Carat is the diamond's weight, not its size. 1 carat equals 0.20 grams. Bigger carat means a larger, more valuable stone.

Each IMPHALA stone is independently graded and certified by a leading gemological laboratory such as IGI, SGL or DGLA. You receive the original grading report with your piece, recording cut, colour, clarity and carat in writing.
